Amazon

Puerto Maldonado, located in the Peruvian Amazon, experiences a tropical rainforest climate, with consistently warm temperatures throughout the year. The region has distinct wet and dry seasons, with the heaviest rainfall occurring between November and March. Temperatures range from a minimum of 22°C to a maximum of 31°C, and precipitation can reach over 300mm per month during the peak rainy season. The region’s lush ecosystem is a major attraction for eco-tourists, offering experiences like wildlife spotting and boat tours along the Amazon River.

Sacred Valley

The Sacred Valley, located in the Andean highlands of Peru, enjoys a temperate climate with cool to warm temperatures year-round. The valley has a distinct dry season from May to September, with occasional rain showers from October to April. The minimum temperature ranges from 11°C to 15°C, while the maximum temperature averages between 20°C and 24°C. Precipitation is moderate, with rain reaching its peak between December and March. The Sacred Valley is famous for its stunning landscapes, Incan ruins, and traditional villages, making it a prime destination for trekkers and culture enthusiasts.

Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu is located at an altitude of 2,430 meters above sea level, offering a cool temperate climate. The temperatures range from 8°C at night to 19°C during the day, and the region experiences considerable rainfall, particularly between November and March. The dry season, from May to October, is ideal for hiking and exploration. Rainfall can reach over 200mm per month during the wet season. Machu Picchu remains one of the most iconic ancient Inca sites, drawing travelers from all over the world to experience its history, culture, and breathtaking views.

Lima

Lima, the capital city of Peru, experiences a mild desert climate with minimal rainfall throughout the year. The city has a cool, dry season from April to October, where precipitation is extremely rare, typically less than 2 mm per month. The wet season from November to March is marked by light rainfall, with January and February receiving slightly more, averaging between 4–7 mm per month. Average temperatures remain relatively stable year-round, with minimum temperatures typically ranging between 15°C (59°F) and 18°C (64°F) and maximum temperatures fluctuating between 20°C (68°F) and 23°C (73°F). Despite the absence of significant rainfall, Lima's coastal location influences a foggy mist, known locally as garúa, which adds to the city's unique climate pattern. This stable climate, combined with the dry season, makes Lima's weather comfortable, although somewhat overcast for most of the year.
